Ugh, che, today was one of THOSE days. So my cousin Pepe's visiting from Encarnación, right? *Obviously* I offered to be tour guide in Asuncion downtown. Easy peasy, pio?
Big mistake. Got off the micro near Palma street, pulled out Google Maps... and my phone decided it was nap time. Dead. Like, zero percent. *Che ra'a*.
No clue where Pepe's hotel was, only remembered it had a blue sign... maybe? Wandered around Plaza Uruguaya asking random people about "the blue hotel near the church?" They were kinda confused. Ended up finding it like 40 mins later, totally by accident, behind that huge old building! Pepe was chilling at the lobby already, laughing his head off.
Moral of the story: Charge your dang phone *before* adventures. Or just stay home drinking tereré . Less stressful. #AsuncionAdventures #LostInPlainSight #QueDia #Paraguay
