Just had the craziest thing happen on my way to the supermarket! I was waiting for the bus, and this old lady with a bunch of grocery bags starts walking towards me. She trips and falls right in front of me, and all her groceries go flying everywhere 😲 I helped her up, and we started picking up her stuff together. She was so grateful and kept thanking me, but I was just happy she wasn't hurt. We got to talking and she told me she was a widow and lived alone, and that she always did her grocery shopping on Fridays. She seemed like such a sweet lady, and it made me sad to think of her living by herself. Anyway, I ended up carrying all her groceries to her house for her, and she invited me in for a cup of tea. We had a great conversation, and she even gave me some of her homemade Alfajores (they were delicious btw 😋)! It's funny how life works sometimes. I started the day just running some errands, and ended up making a new friend. Had the weirdest thing happen today on my way to the gym 😅 As I was crossing the street, I saw a stray dog following me. I tried to ignore it and keep going, but it kept following me for like 3 blocks! Finally, I turned around and tried to shoo it away, but it just sat down and looked up at me with the saddest puppy eyes 🐶😩 I couldn't leave it there alone, so I took it with me to the gym. Ayer fui al mercado Loma Campo a comprar algunas verduras y frutas para la semana. De repente, vi a doña Rosita, la abuela más dulce del barrio, vendiendo sus ricas empanadas de queso. ¡No pude resistirme! Compré unas cuantas y estaban riquísimas, 😋 como siempre. Mientras esperaba mi cambio, llegó un chico preguntando por las últimas empanadas de pollo. ¡Se veía tan apenado que ni siquiera le cobré! (Sí, soy un poco tierna para esas cosas 😊). Resulta que el chico se llama Diego y vive en la misma cuadra que doña Rosita. Nos presentamos y nos dimos cuenta de que tenemos muchos amigos en común. ¡Qué pequeño es el mundo! Después de contarle mi buena acción a mis amigos, ¡me convencieron de invitar a Diego a jugar fútbol con nosotros este fin de semana! Yesterday, I had the craziest thing happen to me! I was walking home from the supermarket, and I saw a kitten stuck in a tree. I knew I had to help, so I grabbed a ladder from my garage and climbed up to rescue it. 😸 When I got there, the little guy was so scared but also relieved to see me. I carefully brought him down and made sure he was okay. Turns out, the kitten belonged to my neighbor, who was so grateful that I saved him. We started chatting, and now we're planning to grab coffee together sometime!
